Are you interested in testing the effectiveness of de-identification processes in European AI projects to safeguard patient data in AI and health imaging?

We are seeking innovators like you to test the effectiveness of de-identification processes in European AI projects.

By joining this challenge, you’ll have the opportunity to conduct a vital technical audit by re-identifying pseudonymized medical studies using two de-identification methods commonly employed in AI4HI projects.

You will contribute to a paradigm shift in data protection. Together, we’ll pave the way for safer, more ethical AI research practices that prioritize patient privacy above all else.

CHAIMELON Re-identification Challenge


The Challenge kicks off in May 2024 and will run until August 2024, giving you 4 months to reidentify as much patients as possible.


A total of 10,000 € will be distributed among the four winners based on the number of re-identified patients.
